Artist Raymond Sipos began his formal art career in a most unusual way, working
as a Mechanical Engineer at Cal Techs' world-renowned Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. While participating in an employee art show he sold every painting - it was then he decded to be an "Artist" rather than continuing with his engineering. He was born in Detroit in 1939 and
moved to Southern California as a teenager. It was during his studies to become a Mechanical Engineer that he also enrolled in painting classes - it didn't take much to realize his artistic talents would be his future.
Sipos has had a long and successful career, winning many awards along the way.
