Ray Friesz, an American Legend in the world of fine art....he was the first plein-air abstractionist - a pioneer for more than 45 years in acrylic, with a "slam-bang" gravity style. Pouring waterfalls, splashing waves on location, never including a man-made object in his paintings - in keeping with nature. Friesz received numerous awards and enjoyed international recognition of his work.
Despite changing trends in art over the years, Friesz always stayed true to his personal creative syle. Ray has the distinction of exhibiting in the Laguna Festival of Arts for 43 years.
